The Ontario Association of Art Galleries is saddened to hear of the recent passing of David Aurandt.

The Ontario Association of Art Galleries is saddened to hear of the recent passing of David Aurandt. 

Aurandt was a long time member of the public art gallery community here in Ontario as an artist, educator, curator, and gallery director.  His career spanned work with the Thunder Bay Art Gallery, Eastman Kodak at the Creative Imaging Centre (Camden, ME),Rodman Hall Arts Centre, the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, and most recently the Riverbrink Gallery in addition to several Canadian universities. Aurandt also served on the OAAG Board of Directors including the role of President in 1998-2000.

Although no longer with us, his legacy and work in this sector will not be forgotten.  OAAG wishes to extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who knew him throughout his life.
