Duties

Our programs and services support the arts, culture, heritage, celebrations, sport, official languages, diversity and inclusion. We do this by providing funding to organizations working in these fields.

As a Program Officer, your duties may include:
☑️ Analyzing funding proposals for grants and contributions programs, making recommendations and managing contribution agreements;
☑️ Responding to client inquiries regarding program criteria, the funding application process and the status of files;
☑️ Participating in the development and implementation of outreach and monitoring activities for programs;
☑️ Participating in the development of regional program tools and processes.

Intent of the process

We may use this inventory to fill current and future vacancies.

1) We are considering a first wave of applications with the intention of staffing a number of positions by spring 2021.

2) After spring 2021, subsequent waves of assessment will depend on operational needs.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE | Essential for the positions
Experience providing client service to internal or external stakeholders*.

Experience handling inquiries and providing oral and written opinions and advice.

Experience using MS Office applications such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

Diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the position.

Experience working with or within organizations operating in one (1) or more of the following fields:
☑️ Ethnically diverse or equity-deserving organizations or communities;
☑️ Arts sector;
☑️ Heritage sector;
☑️ Indigenous communities or organizations;
☑️ Official language minority communities – English-speaking communities in Quebec or Francophone communities outside Quebec.

Experience supporting the delivery of a grants and contributions program.

Experience providing administration or program support such as: preparing material for meetings, conferences, workshops and events.

Experience in the use of a database for documentation and client files.

Experience working with or for not-for profit or voluntary organizations.

Experience analyzing information to produce reports and/or recommendations.

Experience working in a fast-paced or high volume environment (e.g. call center, help line, marketing, sales, or surveys).

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willingness and ability to work overtime occasionally with short notice.
Willingness to travel occasionally.
Willingness and ability to work from home as required.
